PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION

6:43 PM- Meeting called to order after some technical difficulties:  Randy Schubert, President

Present:  Randy Schubert(via phone), President; Randy Payne, Vice President; Roger Nelson, Treasurer; Todd Jirous(no audio), Secretary; Directors:  Troy Tipton, Karl Gustavsons, Millard Johnson and Tony Utrie

  1. Millard sent an email at about 6pm to summarize what we want to accomplish this evening.
    1. We’re not going for ‘Banning the Boat’, but rather how it is used.
    2. Millard, Tony and Troy all move to ban the “Use” of the Boat for the purpose of Wake Enhancement and the Activity of Wake Surfing
  2. Millard- Do we want to involve any other Lake Associations in Sherman and Mercer Townships? After some discussion, it was decided to keep this simple and just focus on the TFFTL, as this already bridges two Townships and has its own complexities
  3. Question from Tony on do we work with any Legal Councils? We are not at this time, but are working closely with Last Wilderness Alliance
  4. Millard- Next Steps? All are good with what Millard has outlined and working with Jeff Wilson to approach both Townships.
  5. The Motion was presented and passed without opposition as follows:
    “Consistent with our Membership’s recommendation, we will ask the Town Boards to approve the Model Wakeboard Ordinances for the Turtle Flambeau Flowage and Trude Lake.”
  6. The next Town meeting is July 10th (tomorrow). We won’t be ready or present for that meeting. Jeff Wilson is thinking that we should approach the town of Sherman first
  7. Randy S. to debrief Jeff and Terry on our conversation this evening.
